This beautiful stone house with private pool and private garden is located on the sprawling estate of the landlords. Due to its elevated position, it offers beautiful sweeping views over the wooded valley and all the way to Montignac, known for its Lascaux caves, which are a breathtaking experience in any season. The accommodation has been lovingly prepared and is a harmonious blend of a traditional stone house and a modern interior with elements of stone and wood. You will be staying here in the heart of the Périgord Noir, or rather not far from the town of Sarlat, with plenty of medieval charm and a wonderful weekly market full of renowned products and produce from the Dordogne. Activities abound here: canoe and bike rentals, hiking, horseback riding, and for foodies, plenty of good restaurants along the Vézère, for example in Montignac or in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, which is officially one of the most beautiful villages in France. Visit Les Eyzies-de-Tayac with its national museum and the Font de Gaume cave, the Château de Losse and the beautiful Château de Hautefort. Also a must-see in this region is Roque Saint-Christophe, an impressive limestone rock known for its cave dwellings. Take advantage of the Dordogne River as well as the towns of La Roque-Gageac and Domme. The region is known for its impressive castles and chateaux, its stone houses, and its many sunflower and corn fields.
